10:42 am - computer cd help

I have a mini cd that came with my nurses drug book and I need to put it on my computer, but my laptop does not take mini cds.  Can some one help me by making a copy of the cd onto a regular size cd for me?  Please.

Today is the first time I'm able to read the computer screen properly since Monday.  I had Lasik eye surgery on Monday.  Now I can SEE!
It's cool.

I heard this essay on NPR This I Believe podcast.  I thought it was good.  A six-year-old wrote it.  I when I have a kid I hope it will be conscious of others when it is 6.

We got a new cat today!  His name is Linus.  He is a Devon Rex.

Has anyone been to San Francisco?  Will and I are planning a trip to go there in December.  Should we stay in Haight-Ashbury or Castro?

I am kinda afraid, but still excited about this trip.

09:15 pm - "Cheryl's Dictated Post" by William Gow

So we got married and that was good, but i was really nervous because I didn't feel well. Will did a really good job at decorating the house. It was so beautiful with lots of flowers. He even gave me a hand made bouquet, which made me cry. Halla performed the ceremony,  it was short and a little foggy. I don't really remember what was said, but I do know that we recited our vows from a piece of paper. After the ceremony I was feeling really crappy so I had to take my dress off and lay down in bed while everyone chatted. Which is not exactly how I planned for our wedding day to be. Then we went to the restaurant and i was feeling even worse. We went inside and I was so shocked and a happy to see so many of our friends there. But then I realized I had a fever and by that point I was already out of it and the rest of the night is a haze. So we left early and went to sleep. I hope everyone enjoyed Friday night.
Saturday we were supposed to have people over the house for the ouf-of-towners who had come in for the wedding, but i ended up canceling b/c I couldn't get out of bed- i was so weak.
Sunday we made a 15 minute appearance at the family brunch, and then spent the rest of the day in the emergency room. I got lots of IV fluids and they did all kinds of test. They found an infection and gave me IV antibiotics. I was so happy that they found something wrong with me because my stupid doctors had been telling me that it was just stress and that there was nothing wrong. It's been six FUCKING weeks! I have been sleeping a lot and taking antibiotics and stuff.  I'm still sick, but on the road to getting better.
Today we went to my GI doctor and he was fucking jerk face as usual. I'm going to be looking for a new doctor soon. I hope everyone had fun this weekend and enjoyed the wedding reception.
I love you and miss you. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get out of bed and do something.

I really like the word microorganism.  I think because of the mic---roor ---ganism in the word.

Today I have been studying, as usual.  I have a Anatomy lab test tomorrow and a Microbiology test on Wednesday.

April 2 is the first night of Passover, and although I am not religious and these days I don't even think I believe in a god/goddess/whatever.  I think I want to have a Seder dinner at our house...with a few changes: 1. it will be on Sunday, April 1st 2. it will be vegetarian 3. there will be no praying, it will actually just be a dinner party type thing, but I do want to invite Elijah into our house for wine because that was my favorite part of the seder when I was a kid.  I really just wanted an excuse to use my grandmother's real Silver silverware that I inherited and when I was younger Passover was one of the few times of the year that we used it.

So is anyone interested in this?

Will and I joined Netflix a few weeks ago.  So far, I've seen..

Harlan County, USA - I liked this one a lot.  It is about a coal miners strike in the early 1970's.  It was awesome how they continued on month after month with the strike.

Dark Days - This one was also good.  It is about a group of homeless people in NY living in an abandoned railroad tunnel.

Venus Boys - I saw this one last night.  It is about a group of drag king show performers.

I guess I've been kinda into documentaries lately.  I saw a couple of others, but so far these are my top picks...I'm sure the list will expand later.

12:59 pm - job

This morning I went to Medics to apply for a part-time EMT job for now.  It was a really easy application/interview.  I went in and told the guy I wanted to apply and gave him the application I had downloaded and filled out and he gave me some papers to fill out and told me where to go for the drug test.  I went and peed in a cup, went back to the office and he told me he would call me in a day or two to let me know when orientation is.  So I guess I'll be working soon.  That should be cool because I have absolutely no money right now.
